Modern science was started in a theistic environment , and the founders of modern science considered their study of nature as a sort of God’s worship. But gradually some schools of thought were developed that fortified empiricism. The fast development of modern science, both theoretically and empirically, strengthened these schools of thought.But during the second bald of the twentieth century, some schools of philosopjy of science were developed which showed that science alone cannot answer humanity’s ultimate questions and even some questions raised in science.Furhermore, it turned out that science by itself cannot prevent the misuse of science. Thus, from the mid 1960’s we see some return to religion, and some promenet scientists started to reveal their religiosity and used metaphysical principle to respond to the challenges brought againt theistic religions. In tbs book , we have discussed about these challenges and the response of some eminent contemporary scietists and philosphers to them, and the need for the ruling of a more comprehensive mrlview over future science.
